I. Policy on the protection of personal information

Hotel Keikyu Co., Ltd., understands our social responsibility and thus has established a policy on the protection of personal information as follows with which all personnel will comply.

  1. Collection and use of personal information
    We collect personal information in a legal and fair manner. Collected information is used only within the range of the purposes of use.
  2. Management of personal information
    We continuously make every effort to enhance security in order to prevent loss or unauthorized disclosure of personal information.
  3. Provision of personal information
    We do not provide personal information to any third party unless we receive your permission or as required by law. When we outsource the management of personal information or if we share personal information with a third party, we take the necessary measures, including the conclusion of a nondisclosure agreement and/or other measures with the other parties to ensure privacy.
  4. Disclosure, correction, and deletion of personal information
    When we receive a request to disclose, correct, and/or delete personal information, we will handle all such requests properly in compliance with the prescribed procedures unless such requests are a violation of the law.

II. Provisions regarding the collection of personal information

Hotel Keikyu collects personal information from customers from the following sources.

  1. Direct collection from customers
    In cases where you apply, reserve, or use hotel accommodations, weddings, banquets, restaurants, services, or products or where you request informational materials from us, you will fill in, enter, send, or orally convey personal information or provide us with your name card. wherein the event we ask you to provide us with personal information when offering services other than the above, we will inform you of the purposes and details.
  2. Collection from a party who has your permission
    We may collect personal information within the scope of the purposes of use described in section III from a party who has the proper authority from you, including an applicant to our services, someone who has introduced you to us, travel agencies, marriage agencies, or agencies for packaged service products.
  3. Collection from public items
    We may collect personal information from you within the scope of the purposes of use described in section III from newspapers, the Internet, telephone directories, or other publications.

III. Provisions regarding the purposes of use of personal information

Hotel Keikyu uses the collected personal information only within the necessary scope to achieve the following purposes.

  1. Provision of services and products regarding our hotel and related businesses for which customers have applied
  2. Security of customers' life, body, and property
  3. Announcements and confirmation of matters (such as your reservation) necessary for carrying out our business
  4. Responding to your inquiries or opinions
  5. Providing information about our services and products
    (This service can be stopped or started upon request anytime.)
  6. Analysis of personal information in order to improve our services, products, or website
    (In this case, information is used only statistically and never to identify individual customers.)
  7. Other purposes clearly specified to you when collecting your information

IV. Provisions regarding the sharing and outsourcing of the management of personal information with a third party

  1. Provision to a third party
    Hotel Keikyu never provides personal information to a third party without permission with the exception of the following;
    1. (1) When it is required by law;
    2. (2) When necessary to protect human life, body, or property;
    3. (3) In cooperation with national or local authorities or other parties legally authorized and as required by law;
    4. (4) When remitting payment for our services by credit card and we provide the credit card company with the necessary information for the charge in order to collect the fee;
    5. (5) When providing personal information to a third party after clearly notifying you of its collection and that we will provide it to a third party; and
    6. (6) In the event we exchange information with other corporations about someone intentionally obstructing our business.
  2. Outsourcing the handling of personal information
    Hotel Keikyu may outsource all or a part of the management of personal information to a third party. In this case, we will conclude an agreement with the third party stipulating the restrictions on the use of the personal information for any purposes other than as necessary for the outsourced business and the proper and strict management of the provided information; we will properly supervise the handling of all personal information.
  3. Sharing
    Hotel Keikyu, within the scope of the purposes of use described in section III, may share the personal information of customer with other companies related to the following businesses. In this case, we restrict the sharing parties from using the personal information for purposes other than as necessary for the sharing and will properly supervise and strictly manage the third party with regard to the shared information.
    1. (1) Weddings and banquets
      The agencies designated by Hotel Keikyu that offer services and products, including flower decoration, rental clothing, hair dressing, makeup, dressing, printing, photos, thank you gifts, etc.
    2. (2) Hotel facilities
      Agencies offering such businesses in our hotels as an esthetic salon, swimming pool, massage, barber, hair dressing, makeup, and sales of products on consignment or by renting the space.
    3. (3) Operation of membership organization
      Companies providing operation/management and services related to the Club Pacific Card, Keikyu Card, and the Keikyu Point Card.

V. Provisions for disclosure, correction, deletion, and other procedures with regard to personal information

When we receive a request for disclosure, correction, deletion, or other procedures with regard to personal information that we possess, we will handle such request within a reasonable period of time after confirming the identity of the person making such request.

  1. Procedure for disclosure, correction, or deletion
    To make a request, complete the designated form and submit it with the designated document as confirmation of your identity. We may require payment of a handling charge. Details of the procedure are specified elsewhere.
  2. Refusal of your request
    We may refuse all or a part of your request when the following applies.
    1. (1) When disclosure or other procedures are against the law.
    2. (2) When disclosure may harm your life, body, or property or that of a third party.
    3. (3) When such disclosure would interfere to a significant degree with our business.

VI. Provisions regarding the revisions to the policy on the protection of personal information

Hotel Keikyu may revise the policy on the protection of personal information anytime without notification in accordance with the revision/abolition of laws, changes in social situations, and other reasons.
